Facebook: Major Re-Design

Facebook is starting to roll out some big changes these days, mostly in the design and functionality of the newsfeed. Shared photos, for example, will soon be much bigger. The images attached to articles or shared from other platforms, like Pinterest, will also be larger. Second big change: Users will now have the ability to switch between several news feeds. Some of these streams will include posts by company pages, some will not (the “close friends” stream, for example.) What does this mean for your company’s Facebook page? Be even more visual and engaging. Create posts that people really want to see and share. Otherwise, they might just “turn you off.” Read the full article about Facebook’s news feed changes.

Pinterest Introduces Analytics Tool

Pinterest also has recently undergone some styling changes; If your website is verified with Pinterest, you can simply activate the new look. Select the dropdown menu below your profile’s name and choose “switch to the new look.”  A face lift is not Pinterest’s only change, along with the new design comes a new analytics tool. It is not very detailed yet, but is fairly intuitive and definitely a good start to give you an overview of the activity on your Pinterest page. Go ahead and try it! Here is a full write-up about Pinterest’s analytics tool.

Twitter’s New Ads Center

Twitter recently updated their advertising analytics tools. The re-designed Ads Center promises to give advertisers a deeper look into the effects of promoted tweets and features more detailed campaign reporting. Here is an overview over Twitter’s recent Ads Center upgrades.
